Semester 1 Announcements

Academy Parent/Student Virtual Meeting - Tuesday, September, 14th at 5:30 PM-6:30 PM for 9th and 10th grade families and 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM for 11th and 12th grade families.

The Google Meet code was emailed to parents and students and posted in the student's Academy Google Classroom.

Advisory Board Meetings - 4th Wednesdays of the month, 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM. An evening meeting will be held October 26th at 6:00PM. Please email Mrs. Sutton at msutton@wpss.net to receive the meeting link to attend.

A Day in a Life Career Speakers: The month of November in the academy classes.

All Academy 9th and 10th-grade students will be participating in a Team Building Experience sponsored by Wake County Parks and Rec. on November 23rd from 10 AM - 12 PM.

All Academies will be participating in an Academy Fundraiser, Dewey's Bakery. The fundraiser will support the academies for things such as field trips, senior banquet, academy breakfast, scholarship, academy teacher supply requests, and academy clubs.

Academy Internship Presentations will be held every Tuesday after school, beginning Tuesday, November 23rd, and run through December 14th. A sign-up link was provided to the academy seniors in their Google Classroom.

The Academies sponsored a school-wide book and food drive from November 1st – November 15th. A total of 273 books were donated to WAKE Up and Read and a total of 223 cans of goods were donated to the school's food pantry.

The Academy Advisory Board will sponsor an Academy Breakfast on December 3rd at 7:00 AM on the 300 hallway. If any parents would like to volunteer to assist or make a monetary donation for the breakfast, please email Mrs. Sutton.
