Interested or Want to Join an Academy?

Biomedical Science

Students applying to the Academy should possess a high interest in the medical field, exemplary attendance, self-motivation, discipline, initiative, grade-conscious attitude, leadership qualities, maturity, and good communication skills. Applications from students to attend SRMHS Biomedical Academy will only be processed if the student is assigned or attend Southeast Raleigh High School either through Base or Magnet Process.   Students applying to the academy should register to take PLTW Principles Biomedical Science as their 9th-grade academy courses.

Engineering

Students applying to the Academy should possess a high interest in the engineering field, exemplary attendance, self-motivation, discipline, initiative, grade-conscious attitude, leadership qualities, maturity, and good communication skills. Applications from students to attend SRMHS Engineering Academy will only be processed if the student is assigned or attend Southeast Raleigh High School either through Base or Magnet Process. Students applying to the academy should register to take IED- Introduction to Engineering as their 9th-grade academy courses.

Information Technology & Cybersecurity

Students applying to the Academy should possess a high interest in information technology, exemplary attendance, self-motivation, discipline, initiative, grade-conscious attitude, leadership qualities, maturity, and good communication skills. Applications from students to attend SRMHS Academy of Information Technology & Cybersecurity will only be processed if the student is assigned or attend Southeast Raleigh High School either through Base or Magnet Process.  Students applying to the academy should register to take CompTIA IT Fundamentals (it may not be on the registration form) and Python Programming as their 9th-grade academy courses.
